“The recent installation of 396 Jinko solar panels with Samil Power Inverters and mounting equipment installed by Solar Sunwerx on the main building of Fenning Timber in West Bairnsdale is reducing its carbon footprint by up to 15 per cent. The 99-kilowatt system is connected to the company’s timber drying kilns that operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week. If more solar panels were added, the timber mill would be officially regarded as a power plant. It is one of the first large-scale commercial solar projects undertaken outside metropolitan Melbourne.”
