Troubleshooting
*** Samil Inverters are powered by the solar power system itself. As such no messages or lights are operational in the evening or at night. Please consult you inverter during daylight hours if you suspect a fault ***
On the rare occassion that your Samil Solar Inverter is not operating as expected please inspect your inverter for any of the follow messages and follow the appropriate steps…
Inverter Display | Troubleshooting sequence |
---|---|
Inverter Display | Troubleshooting sequence |
Blank |
1. Ensure the DC Isolator is at the ‘ON’ position. 2. Ensure the DC voltage is high enough to run the inverter. 3. If the above does not resolve the issue, please contact Samil Technical Support on 1300 134 793 for further assistance. |
‘Fan fault’ |
1. Ensure the fan is not blocked by insects or excessive dust/dirt. 2. If the above does not resolve the issue, please contact Samil Technical Support on 1300 134 793 for further assistance. |
‘OVR/UVR/OFR/UFR’ |
1. Record the grid voltage and frequency from LCD screen and provide to Samil Technical Support. 2. Wait until next day – check for standard operation and ensure the inverter goes back to working normally. 3. If the above does not resolve the issue, please contact Samil Technical Support on 1300 134 793 for further assistance. |
‘No utility’ |
1. Ensure the AC isolator is at the ‘ON’ position. 2. Ensure the AC connector has not been loosend or dropped from the bottom of inverter. 3. If the above does not resolve the issue, please contact Samil Technical Support on 1300 134 793 for further assistance. |
‘Waiting’ |
1. Input voltage – read the VDC from LCD screen to ensure the rating is higher than ‘150V’. 2. If the above does not resolve the issue, please contact Samil Technical Support on 1300 134 793 for further assistance. |
‘PV over voltage’ or ‘HIGH DC BUS’ |
1. Input voltage – read the Vdc from LCD screen to ensure the rating is below than ‘550V’. 2. If the above does not resolve the issue, please contact Samil Technical Support on 1300 134 793 for further assistance. |
‘Consistent fault / GFCI failure SCI failure / DC sensor failure Relay failure’ |
1. Restart the inverter (shut down the DC and AC isolator, wait for a couple of minutes before turn the DC and AC isolator back on) to see if the inverter resumes functioning. 2. If the above does not resolve the issue, please contact Samil Technical Support on 1300 134 793 for further assistance. |
